Pre-Heat Oven Thermostat Setting

Don't turn the thermostat to the hottest setting to make your oven heat faster.

It won't.

All you are doing is changing the final 'off' temperature. It won't change the speed at which the oven operates.

Setting the thermostat hotter won't make the oven heat up any faster. Just set the dial to the temperature that the recipe calls for and wait for pre-heating - about 10 minutes.
