Furnace Thermostat Setting

Don't turn the thermostat to the hottest setting to make your furnace heat faster.

It won't.

All you are doing is changing the final 'off' temperature.

It won't change the speed at which the furnace operates. Setting the thermostat hotter won't make the house heat up any faster.

Just set the dial to the temperature that you want and let the furnace do its job.

Setting the thermostat hotter forces the furnace to over-heat the room which just wastes energy.
