Tip:

Grinder Chop Saw Safety

Abrasive discs used on chop saws, bench grinders and hand grinders will sometimes disintegrate so you should never stand or place your head or body in the plane of rotation where you could get hit by flying pieces.

When their wheels fail, these machines will throw sharp pieces of cutting wheel at deadly high speed.

It happens frequently enough that you should always be alert to the possibility and avoid standing where you could get hit by flying debris.

Hold the tool so that you are protected by the wheel-guard or else use the tool so that your head and body are outside of the plane of rotation.
